Job Vacancy

The Palestinian Bar Association (PBA) looking for a candidate to occupy a position of "Director of Projects Management and Planning Unit " that is part of an ongoing UNDP-funded project to enhance the profession of lawyers and promote access to justice.

Contract term: 1 year


 Developing and Managing the Projects Management and Planning Unit. Contributing in developing and implementing PBA strategic plan, operational plans, and fundraising plans

Controlling PBA funded projects, supervising the implementation of the projects   technically and financially, Managing the data collection, and the reporting

 Working with the PBA Board in preparing the proposals for submission to donors

Supervising the funded-projects to insure the projects conducting in accordance with the project plans and budgets.

 Following -up of periodic, interim and final administrative and financial project reports, and ensuring the board's approval before submission to donors.

Coordinating the training, capacity building and development plans of the unit's work team in terms of program and project management and implementation.

Daily follow-up of the unit's staff and project coordinators, ensuring necessary support is provided.



Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in public administration or humanities from an accredited university with experience of no less than five years in project management, or a master's degree in the same fields with experience of no less than two years.

Candidate must have experience in planning and project management, including evaluation, monitoring, supervision, and reporting.

Candidate must have experience in data collecting, and familiarity of the justice sector jurisdiction.

Candidate must have proven experience in fundraising and proposal writing.

Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
